Defending The Blue Line

Our mission at Defending The Blue Line® is ensuring that children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in the game of hockey. We accomplish this by providing free equipment for military kids, hockey camps, special events, and financial assistance for registration fees and other costs associated with hockey.

New Rochelle Youth Hockey

New Rochelle is a diverse and dynamic city. Most residents find this diversity appealing, enabling their children to learn and interact with children of varied cultures and backgrounds and be part of a global society. Youth athletic programs are an important part of this learning process. As such, NRYH is committed to encouraging children throughout New Rochelle to participate in their hockey program. Since hockey is a relatively expensive sport to play given the cost of equipment, NRYH is dedicated to providing children with free or low cost opportunities to enjoy the joy of playing hockey.

Restore Hockey

Restore Hockey is a movement. It is a belief. It is a culture founded on the principle that “to whom much is given, much is expected.” They focus on access. They focus on opportunity. They strive to improve the communities they reside in and they strive to leave the sport of hockey better than they found it.

As a division of Restore Sports, Inc, a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization, their non-profit mission is to promote the sport of hockey in a manner that embraces access, opportunity and affordability, while giving new life to the equipment that has helped build its foundation. They act as an agent of hockey through the recovery, restoration and sanitization of used equipment, so that it can be used as a low-cost, reusable resource in promotion of the game.

Whether your first memory of hockey was of a local pond or a rink down the street, the essence of our sport remains the sa

me…passion. Hockey is a sport that transcends generations and unites its members in a bond that remains constant throughout life’s endeavors. Whether it is the smell of the locker room, the grind of your first stride, or a puck passing the goal line in overtime, the legacy of our sport can inspire. It is this inspiration that prompted the creation of Restore Hockey and it is our goal to honor this institution for generations to come.

Hip Hockey Mom

She’s all hockey mom, all the time. She looks great, even when she’s freezing and exhausted carrying heavy, smelly equipment bags to-and-from tournaments. She’s mythical and ninja-like in her ability to coordinate schedules and organize details. Underneath that full-length, down-quilted, fur-trimmed hooded sleeping-bag-coat (she wears to stay warm) is a fabulous-looking encyclopedia of hockey family information.
